A Genealogy of Common Musics, Pt. 1

Once, in a small town in the magical land of California, there lived a young boy who had yellow hair. He spent his days with two friends who had red hair - brothers, in fact - and the three would sit for hours and listen to the magical sounds of the Musicians. They wondered if the Musicians hadn't once been young boys themselves, long before they got into mad drugs and full body tattoos and what not. Perhaps they too could, with much practice and perhaps less drugs, join the esteemed order of Musicians. Thus the Yellow-Haired Boy and his redheaded friends each took up an Instrument and made the holy pact of the Band. They christened themselves "Sikalimo" after the famous saint who brought the secrets of Grilled Cheese to California, saving its people from certain starvation. Sikalimo the band became proficient in imitating the magical sounds of the Musicians that had inspired its birth. After a time, however, the magic seemed to have faded, and the three young Musicians drifted away from the Band...
